The Cosmic Trinity
The Trimurti (from Sanskrit tri = three + murti = form) is the Hindu trinity of supreme deities representing the three fundamental cosmic functions: creation, preservation, and destruction. The Trimurti consists of Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver, and Shiva the Destroyer.

Trimurti in the Archipelago
The Trimurti is a central concept in Hinduism in the archipelago. The 9th-century Prambanan temple complex in Central Java is dedicated to the Trimurti, with three main temples for Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva.
In Balinese Hinduism, the Trimurti is worshipped as the supreme manifestations of God.
