The Chinese Pilgrim
Yijing (635–713 CE) was a 7th-century Chinese Buddhist monk and scholar who traveled to India and spent several years in the Malay Archipelago. His detailed accounts of his voyages provide some of the earliest and most valuable descriptions of the Srivijaya Empire, and he preserved a vivid record of the religious and cultural life of the region.

The Voyages
